Trusted Contact Invites and Acceptance
Understand what happens after you send an invite, what acceptance changes, and what it does not change.
Help article
This article is written for visitors arriving from support chat or first-time setup questions.
What happens when you send an invite?
The trusted contact receives an invitation to join the relationship you created for your vault.
What does acceptance do?
Acceptance confirms the relationship. It allows that contact to participate in future workflows if your release settings require it.
What acceptance does not do
It does not unlock your vault, reveal records, or bypass your release rules.
- No immediate access to passwords
- No automatic access to documents
- No ability to skip release safeguards
If someone has not accepted yet
They may not count toward release readiness until the invitation is accepted. Follow up or replace the contact if needed.
Still need help?
If the article does not answer your question, open support and send the next practical question. Do not share passwords, recovery codes, or vault secrets in chat.
