What Is a Collection?
A collection is a group of related records stored together so information can stay organized and follow the right release path.
Help article
This article is written for visitors arriving from support chat or first-time setup questions.
What a collection does
A collection groups related records together inside Digital Legacy Vault. It helps you organize important information and apply access rules to the right set of records.
Examples of collection types
- Family information
- Financial accounts
- Legal documents
- Emergency instructions
- Business continuity records
What can go inside a collection
A collection can contain passwords, documents, instructions, recovery details, and other records you want to keep together.
How collections affect access later
Trusted contacts may be linked to specific collections, but they never receive automatic access. Access still follows the release rules configured by the vault owner.
